Gariep Dam (the youngest town in South Africa) is perhaps better known for the man-made Hendrik Verwoerd Dam. The name was officially changed on 4 October 1996 to Gariep Dam. Today there are more than 600 permanent residents living in Gariep Dam town. Gariep Dam is the most central point of South Africa. The road network connects Towns and provinces of the Free State, Eastern Cape and the Northern Cape. Therefore it is ideal for a sleep over or even a Holiday destination. |

We offer five neat self catering units on the same premises as the coffee shop. Personal attention is also given to each and every guest. The coffee shop has an ala-carte menu and a liquor licence for the thirsty. We do take away's and also serve breakfast and light meals during the day. The chalets can accommodate on average 18 people. All units are self catering, with a microwave oven, fridge, crockery, cutlery and other utensils The entire property is fenced with devils-fork and parking is secure. All units have their own TV Set and full DSTV is possible with your own smart card. |
